Agorapulse vs ContentStudio vs Sendible for Client-Heavy Agencies
Agorapulse, ContentStudio and Sendible compared for agencies with many clients: approvals, client access, branded reports and cost as seats grow.
Once an agency has more than a handful of clients, the scheduling part of a social tool matters less than what sits around it. Can clients approve posts without a long email thread? Can each client see only their own accounts? Do reports go out with your logo on them? And what happens to the bill when you hire your fifth or eighth person?
This comparison looks at Agorapulse, ContentStudio and Sendible only through that lens. If you are a solo marketer choosing a scheduler, this is the wrong article.

The one difference that drives everything: how each tool charges
The three tools price on different units, and that matters more for an agency than any single feature.
- Agorapulse charges per user. Every paid plan is quoted "per user / month", and each plan lists 10 social profiles, with extra profiles sold at $10-$15 per month each. Whether the 10-profile allowance is per user or per account is not stated plainly; confirm with sales if you run several seats.
- ContentStudio charges per plan, with capacity add-ons. Its pricing page says pricing is per plan, not per seat. Agency Unlimited includes unlimited users and workspaces and 25 social accounts, then tiered pricing that lowers the per-account cost as you add more.
- Sendible charges per plan, sized by workspaces. Every plan includes unlimited users. Each workspace comes with 6 social profiles, and the plan you buy sets how many workspaces you get.
In practice: with Agorapulse, headcount drives cost. With ContentStudio, social account count drives cost. With Sendible, client count (workspaces) drives cost.

Client approvals: what each tool actually offers
Agorapulse lets you "assign or route content to teammates or clients for one-step approvals" from the Professional plan. If you need several reviewers in sequence (account manager, then client marketing lead, then client legal), multi-step approval chains are listed only on the Custom plan. Shared calendars, which let external stakeholders review content before publishing, start on Advanced with 5 calendars.
ContentStudio puts the approval workflow on Advanced and above, routed for internal or client sign off. Agency Unlimited adds EasyConnect, which lets clients connect their own social accounts without sharing credentials, plus unlimited workspaces for client separation.
Sendible adds assignment and approvals from the Plus plan, and its client dashboards restrict client users to their own content. Because users are unlimited on every plan, you can give every client stakeholder a login without paying for a seat.
Whether a client can approve from a link without creating an account is the detail that most affects approval speed, and none of the three pricing pages states it plainly. Test it during the trial with a real client contact.
Client-facing reporting
All three can produce reports that carry your branding, but they put it on different tiers:
- Agorapulse: white-label report exports (your logo and colours) on every plan. Scheduled report emails and PowerPoint export sit on Advanced.
- ContentStudio: exports and scheduled reports from Advanced. White-label branding for the platform (logo, domain, email identity, client dashboard) is a $50/mo add-on on Agency Unlimited rather than included in the base price.
- Sendible: custom branded reports from Premium. Full white-label (your domain, colours, system emails) is a paid add-on on Elite and Enterprise, starting at $349/mo and $800/mo respectively.
If you send a monthly PDF to every client, check two things during the trial: can you save one report template and apply it to every client workspace, and can the report go out on a schedule without someone exporting it by hand?
Cost as you grow: a worked example
These are illustrative scenarios using the list prices above at annual billing, before tax. Swap in your own numbers. Assumptions: one workspace per client, about 5 social profiles per client, and the plan tier each tool needs for client approvals plus scheduled reports.
| Scenario | Agorapulse Advanced | ContentStudio Agency Unlimited | Sendible |
|---|---|---|---|
| A: 4 seats, 7 clients, 35 profiles | 4 x $149 = $596/mo in seats, plus extra profiles beyond the included 10 at $10-$15 each | $99/mo covers 25 accounts; 10 more accounts at the tiered rate (ask sales for the tier table) | Premium: $169.15/mo (7 workspaces, 42 profiles) |
| B: 8 seats, 15 clients, 75 profiles | 8 x $149 = $1,192/mo in seats, plus extra profiles as above | $99/mo plus 50 extra accounts at the tiered rate | Elite: $254.15/mo (15 workspaces, 90 profiles) |
| What doubled the bill | Headcount | Account count | Client count |
What the example shows:
- Agorapulse cost climbs with every hire. Going from 4 to 8 seats doubles the seat line on its own. It suits agencies where a small team runs many profiles, not agencies that add people fast.
- ContentStudio stays cheapest on users and workspaces, but you cannot price a 75-account agency from the public page alone. Ask sales for the tier table before you commit.
- Sendible's cost moves in steps. Client number 8 pushes you from Premium to Elite, and that step is the jump to plan for. Adding a junior hire costs nothing.
A quick worksheet to fill in for your own agency:
Seats today: ___ Seats in 12 months: ___
Clients today: ___ Clients in 12 months: ___
Avg profiles per client: ___ Total profiles: ___
Need multi-step approvals? Y/N
Need white-label platform (your domain)? Y/N
Need clients to connect their own accounts? Y/N
Agorapulse: seats x per-user price + extra profiles = ___
ContentStudio: plan + extra accounts (ask for tiers) + add-ons = ___
Sendible: smallest plan with enough workspaces + white label add-on = ___
Pick X if...
Pick Agorapulse if your team is small and stable, community management is a big part of the retainer, and you want branded report exports on every plan. Budget for the Advanced tier if clients need shared calendars or scheduled reports, and for Custom if they need multi-step approval chains.
Pick ContentStudio if you expect to add staff and clients faster than profiles, you want a white-labelled platform on your own domain at a published add-on price, and you are comfortable getting the extra-account tier table from sales.
Pick Sendible if you want to give every client stakeholder their own login without paying per seat, your client count is predictable, and you want client dashboards and Client Connect on every plan. Plan ahead for the step between tiers when your next client tips you over the workspace limit.
Where a drafting tool fits (and where it does not)
None of these three tools remove the slowest part of client work for most boutique agencies: getting a first draft that already sounds like the client. An AI drafting tool can sit upstream of whichever one you choose. You draft there, then push approved copy into Agorapulse, ContentStudio or Sendible for approval, scheduling and reporting.
To be clear about the limits: Impret is drafting-first. It does not track client approvals and it has no analytics dashboards, so it does not replace any tool in this comparison. If approvals and reporting are your bottleneck, fix that with one of the three above. If the bottleneck is producing on-brand drafts for eight clients every week, a drafting layer such as Impret is the separate piece to add. Our post on getting client content approvals faster goes deeper on the approval side.
